Our open house was a huge success! Thanks to all who came out to support us. With your help, we were able to raise $100 for the Red Cross' disaster relief efforts (10% of our earnings that night).

We are now busy, busy with orders to get done before Christmas! All 3 of us have been hard at work so we have a lot to share with you. Here are a few of our most recent family name sign designs. The first two images show the opposite sides of a double-sided name sign, and the last two are single sided signs.

Due to power outages from Hurricane Sandy, we had to move the location of tomorrow's a.j.e.less designs open house. Don't worry! It's just a few minutes drive from our original location. my cousin got married 5 years ago and moved in to a new home. when they got around to re-doing the basement, she found several old newspapers (dating back to the 1920's and 1930's) in the floorboards. she held on to them for a while, wanting to display them in a creative way, but not sure how. just a few weeks ago, she asked if I had any ideas and if I wanted to take on the project. I jumped at the chance! what a unique opportunity! it was so entertaining to read bits and pieces of the advertisements and articles from so many generations past. I decided to cut and tear the newspapers (ever so carefully) and layer them on 16x20 canvases as a collage. I wasn't quite sure what the final product would look like, but I love the end results! I hope she will too.

it's that time in my life when I can officially say my friends are having babies. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet (I know I will love the little one when he gets here, but I don't feel old enough to have friends having babies!) ... but I do know that I love crafting for them. we made blocks similar to these a few months back and they were received so well that we were asked to make duplicates! we love that they can be used in a variety of ways - count down to baby's arrival, or take photos of your newborn with the blocks to document their growth at weekly and monthly stages.
